Fairhope, Ala. – The Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance (BCEDA) is proud to announce key leadership promotions and the addition of new talent that position the organization for a dynamic and impactful year ahead. With a strong focus on collaboration, workforce readiness, and sustainable growth, BCEDA celebrates the promotion of McCall Lugo to Director of Economic Development, Christina Hellmich to Director of Workforce Development, and welcomes new hire Ryan Brown as Project Manager.

McCall Lugo Promoted to Director of Economic Development
First joining the organization in August 2022, McCall Lugo has been promoted to Director of Economic Development, a key leadership role within the Baldwin Alliance. In this position, Lugo will lead and advance economic development efforts across Baldwin County and oversee industry relationships and project activity. With a strong background in marketing and business development, she plays a critical role in shaping the Alliance’s strategy, messaging, and community engagement.

Christina Hellmich Promoted to Director of Workforce Development
Christina Hellmich, who has served as Industry Engagement Director with Baldwin Alliance, will continue in a new leadership role as Director of Workforce Development, strengthening Baldwin County’s workforce through strategic partnerships with industry, education, and state and local entities. Her work connects employers with talent and supports work-based learning initiatives that prepare the future workforce.
Ryan Brown Joins as Project Manager
The Baldwin Alliance is excited to welcome Ryan Brown as its new Project Manager. Ryan joins the team from ServisFirst Bank, where he served as a Credit Analyst, bringing strong financial insight to the organization. He also served as an Economic Development Intern with BCEDA in 2023, and with Spire in 2024 through the Economic Development Association of Alabama Internship Program. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from Auburn University in May 2025.
“Ryan’s journey reflects exactly what we hope to inspire. Talent that grows here, believes in our mission, and chooses to invest their future in Baldwin County,” Lawson added.
BCEDA Board Chairman Jim Bibby, General Manager at The Wharf, emphasized the importance of the team’s collective strength. “Economic development is ultimately about people and partnerships,” Bibby said. “With McCall’s strategic leadership, Christina’s workforce expertise, and Ryan’s enthusiasm and analytical skills, we are incredibly well-positioned to support business growth and opportunity across Baldwin County. The year ahead is bright.”
